A visiting professor helped students use photography to document and preserve memories.
Stephen Althouse, Professor of Photography and Chairman of the Department of Fine Arts at Barry University in Florida, visited the third-fourth, fifth-sixth, and seventh-eighth grade classes to share his enthusiasm for photography. He talked to students about his view of the photograph as a metaphor for memory and then photographed treasures, ranging from collections from overseas travel to old tennis shoes, for students to enhance on the computer.
