Our outdoor classroom

McGuffey has been a "no child left inside" school since long before it was a national movement. Between PE and science classes, SOAR, and recess, we spend a fair amount of time outdoors, especially in the spring. One of the fantastic things about our small class size and family atmosphere is the flexibility of the walls of our classroom.

This week the sun was shining and the temperatures were perfect, so the fifth and sixth grade moved language arts outside. When we work outside we often find our students more relaxed and productive, and in much better spirits!
